Falconry Field Trip: An Avian Adventure
Thanks to Mrs. Andersen's excellent organization skills, we were treated to an awe-inspiring field trip centered around falconry. The students had the incredible opportunity to witness and learn about these majestic birds. As our reading journey through "My Side of the Mountain" unfolds, this experience provided a tangible connection to the knowledge gained from the book. Not only did we observe falcons in action, but we also had the chance to hold turtles, including a one-day-old turtle! The trip enlightened us on feeding, flying, and training falcons, leaving us with a profound appreciation for their strength.
